22 April is the International Earth Day, an annual event held since the early 1970s to promote eco-friendly attitudes and taking action to protect the environment. To mark this day, the employees of global real estate service firm Cushman & Wakefield in Poland have planned a number of activities for the whole Sustainable Week to share their knowledge of how to live more healthily and consciously and to reduce our environmental footprint.
As a mature and conscious organisation, we are consistently transforming the way we operate every day. Innovations are focused not only on driving our bottom line growth, but also on achieving the sustainability targets of Cushman & Wakefield. In addition, we have for years been supporting our clients in defining needs, planning and implementing green solutions on the property market whilst strengthening our multidisciplinary ESG Hub. The International Earth Day is an excellent opportunity for us to pause for a moment and to reflect on interesting solutions and life-hacks that can help us live and work in an eco-friendly way. I myself will be pleased to co-lead one of the workshops about our office and how to use it more sustainably,
says Krzysztof Misiak, Head of Cushman & Wakefield Poland.
All together for our planet and better wellbeing
Planning this year’s celebrations of the International Earth Day, we first asked our employees what measures and activities they would really find useful and what themes they would like to explore. Their answers helped develop a programme of activities led by a 20-strong team consisting of our employees who are passionate about living a sustainable and conscious life and who will share their expertise and experience with others in our company. In addition, some workshops and lectures will be delivered by guest speakers. And since ‘ESG starts from me’, I myself will deliver one on eco-friendly household products,
says Zuzanna Paciorkiewicz, International Partner, Co-Head of Asset Services CEE, Cushman & Wakefield.
An organisation focused on the green transformation
