Sportano.pl, an innovative multi-brand online sports retailer, is opening a high-tech physical store in Homepark Targówek, the largest retail park in Warsaw. Under the lease signed in December 2021, it acquired close to 2,500 sq m of retail space and outdoor areas.
Homepark Targówek is currently the first and only place where customers can experience a new innovative sports store concept. Sportano.pl, a pure play retailer so far, carries over 600 sports brands and enables customers to touch, feel and try on a product in-store before purchase. With the new store of Sportano.pl, Homepark Targówek will expand its broad portfolio and retail offer for customers in a brand new shopping formula,
comments Agata Brzezińska, Head of CEE, Pradera.
Sportano.pl has the largest choice of premium sports products in Central Europe. We would like all sportspeople, both professionals and non-professionals, doing any sport to be able to find in our store all the products and accessories they need. We look at each sport from the perspective of sportspeople’s needs. Our idea was to build a portfolio of brands that would enable everyone to find the right equipment for themselves. We have 50,000 products in-store and close to 200,000 on our website available for delivery within 24 hours. We invite everyone to visit Sportano.pl in Homepark Targówek to experience the new way of discovering sports,
says Dariusz Frużyński, Commercial Director, Sportano.pl.
Homepark Targówek is extending its retail offer to include an extremely well-thought-out sports concept which will be an answer to the needs of customers who expect professional shopping advice, a wide choice and express deliveries. The shopping experience is one of the main reasons why customers love physical stores and specific brands – it will certainly be a pull factor in this case. As this is the first such showroom in Poland, we are more than pleased that Sportano chose our client’s location,
adds Ada Budynek, Leasing Manager, Associate, Retail Agency Poland, Cushman & Wakefield.
We are buying online more frequently, but shopping centre footfall continues to trend upwards
Recent research has revealed that the average annual share of e-commerce in Poland’s retail sales is hovering at around 14%, almost three times the pre-COVID-19 level, and is expected to reach close to 20% in 2027. It is also worth noting that the Polish e-commerce market is expected to see its revenue climb to almost PLN 190 billion in five years’ time, representing an approximately twofold increase over last year’s total,
says Damian Kołata, Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency Poland, Head of E-Commerce CEE.
