24 tenants of the Matarnia Retail Park in Gdansk have extended lease agreements for a combined area of nearly 16,500 sq m. These include H&M, Kappahl, TK Maxx, Media Markt, Douglas, Super-Pharm, Sports Direct, Reserved, House, Mohito, Komfort. Matarnia, which was acquired by French-based company FREY in July 2023, is the largest retail park in northern Poland. Global real estate services company Cushman & Wakefield is responsible for leasing and asset services in the project.
The Matarnia Retail Park continues to attract unwavering interest from Tricity inhabitants and tourists, and consequently from tenants. It undoubtedly owes its huge popularity to a vast array of stores. There are few large retail parks in Poland with such a rich offering of fashion brands, services and F&B facilities, as well as easy accessibility. Cushman & Wakefield’s report Retail UX in Poland reveals that these are important attributes of retail schemes. According to survey respondents, what makes a retail scheme attractive is, above all, a wide choice of stores. The right tenant-mix is important to nearly 70% of respondents, followed good infrastructure and accessible parking – each scoring 63%. Matarnia meets all these criteria,”
